Fourteenth Sunday of Pentecost
I Love the Temple Where Your Glory Shines
Psalm 26 : 8
Though the psalm writer is talking about the original Temple, built by King Solomon in Jerusalem, today we will look at the rebuilt Temple where Jesus worshiped, studied and taught.
This is the temple where he was dedicated as an infant, received into the arms of Simeon, and this is where he studied with the elders when he was twelve.
Jesus taught in the Temple in the days of Holy Week between Palm Sunday and his trial and crucifixion.
Copy the verse on pale green card stock.
Using gold and silver cardboard or paper, make a stylized model of the rebuilt Temple, which was built by King Herod the Great, using the tax money of the Jews of Palestine.
You might choose to make a 3-D free-standing model instead.
