Second Sunday of Pentecost

First, We Seek the Kingdom of God

Luke 12: 22 - 31

Matthew 6: 24 - 34

In this passage, all in his own words, Jesus tells us how to live a good life.

This is a good day to sing, Seek Ye First the Kingdom of God. By placing our faith and lives in God's hands, we can live without being troubled by worries.

1. What do the wild birds eat?

[The wild birds eat seeds and insects that God provides for them.]

2. Who has nicer clothes than we do?

[The wild flowers in the field have nicer clothes than we do.]

3. Can we add one single hour to the length of our lives by worrying about it?

[God decides how long we live.]

4. What happens to us when we seek God first?

[God knows what we need and provides it for us.]
