We Confess Our Sins Simply

This confession is made up of only two parts.

Congregation:

Strong and faithful God,

we confess that we have not

lived as your faithful people in the world.

We have closed our hearts to your love.

We have resisted your light.

We have failed to proclaim your mercy.

Forgive us for what we have done

and what we have left undone.

Heal us with your abundant grace,

and help up walk as children of the light.

Amen

Pastor:

Now hear and believe the good news of Christ.

In the mercy of almighty God,

Jesus Christ was given to die for us,

and for Jesus' sake God forgives us all our sins.

Because of this we are strengthened by the Holy Spirit.

Therefore let us serve the Lord in newness of life,

In all that we say and all that we do.

Amen
