Prayer of the Church
Many congregations write their own prayer of the day, but most commonly the concerns of the congregation are addressed in the Prayers following the creed.
With your pastor, read "A Guide to Writing the Prayers" in the 1999 edition of Sundays and Seasons (Augsburg Fortress), think through the real concerns of the people of the congregation and the church at large, and list them in a respectful manner to be included in the Prayers.
